🛒 Heres What you Need:
For the Pork:
6 bone-in or boneless pork chops (about 1-inch thick)
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp dried thyme
1 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
2 tbs olive oil
For the Glaze:
6 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp fresh ginger, grated (or 2 tsp ground ginger)
1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
2 tbsp rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar
1 tbsp olive oil or sesame oil
Salt & pepper to taste
Optional garnish: sesame seeds, chopped green onions, fresh thyme
🍳 Here’s What you Do:
1. Prep the pork chops – Pat them dry and season both sides well with the dried seasonings.
2. Sear the pork – Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high. Sear pork chops 3–4 minutes per side, until golden and cooked through.
3. Make the glaze – In the same pan, reduce heat to medium. Add garlic and ginger, cooking until fragrant (about 30 seconds). Stir in honey, soy sauce, and vinegar.
4. Glaze it up – Return pork chops to the pan, spooning glaze over the top. Simmer for 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the chops.
5. Serve – Garnish with sesame seeds or green onions. Serve with rice, roasted veggies, or a crisp salad.
👩🍳 Notes:
Don’t overcrowd the pan—sear in batches if needed.
2. Use a meat thermometer: pork is perfectly cooked at 145°F (63°C).
3. Let the pork chops rest a few minutes before serving to keep them juicy.
4. Not into the pig? Use this same recipe with chicken (thighs would be amazing!)
